Abstract
This report is intended to provide a rationale which will assist BikeNZ in its development of a long term facilities strategy and ensure that its facility requirements are strategically in line with and supported by key facility funding agencies such as Territorial Local Authorities (TLAs), Lottery Grants Board (LGB), Community Trusts and the Ministry of Education (MoE).
The report’s comparison matrix will assist BikeNZ in making a strategic decision as to the development of any new velodromes in the short term and will provide a template for similar rationalisation in the long term. As such the report remains a working document which provides a reusable methodology able to be updated over time as specific needs change.
