Abstract

The National Survey of New Zealanders is an annual tracking survey carried out for the Department of Conservation by Colmar Brunton Research. Aspects of the survey include the New Zealand publics’ engagement and attitudes to conservation, their views on the Department’s performance and their use and enjoyment of public conservation lands and waters.

In 2011 the survey captured the views of more than 3600 New Zealanders aged 18 years and over through a combination of telephone and online responses. The results of the 2011 survey are detailed in a series of reports prepared by Premium Research Ltd.
