David Allan draws on 30 years’ experience in the leisure industry and 15 years as a consultant planner. Prior to consulting he had a succession of key roles with the Hillary Commission (now called Sport NZ), the Minister of Recreation and Sport, the Health Sponsorship Council and Sport Tasman. As a consultant, David has worked predominantly with local authority clients, facility trusts and several national sports organisations including SPARC. He has extensive experience in strategic and facility planning, with strong skills in demand analysis, need, and feasibility assessment, facility specification, resource allocation systems and policy development.
