Operations Manager - ASB College Sport
Jacqui is the Operations Manager at ASB College Sport. The Auckland Secondary Schools Heads Association (ASSHA) Inc (operating as ASB College Sport) is a charitable entity established in 1989 by the Principals of Auckland, to assist in the delivery of inter secondary school sport to their member schools. Since 1989 College Sport has grown its membership to now include 104 secondary schools in the greater Auckland area covering Warkworth to Onewhero. As an organisation it delivers 41 codes in a given year to around 65,000 student participants aged between 11-19 who are supported by around 200 sport co-ordinators in the schools.

I am a Senior Lecturer in Management (Casual) in the Faculty of Business at Manukau Institute of Technology and a Project Manager, Targeted Review of Qualifications, Auckland, New Zealand. My research interests include building capacity in Not for Profit committees and governance and blended learning strategies in vocational education. I have spent a number of years volunteering within grass root sports club committees as president, treasurer and in fundraising roles for a number of clubs. This experience led to my interests in building capacity in committees within the Not for Profit sector.

I began providing outdoor led activities in 1976 for a Government agency and then commercially in 1981. We worked in the provision of outdoor adventure activities to the public and government agencies. The focus has always been form an instructioinal approach culminating in becomming a Registered Training Organisation, RTO, in 1999 delivering training and formal certification fro the Outdoor Recreation sector throughout Australia. I currently sit on the National Industry Advisory Committee for the National Skills Council - Service Skills Australia; Chair the New Spoth Wales State Industry Advisory committee for Sport, Fitness, Community Recreation and Outdoor Recreation and I am Secretary of the Outdoor Council of Australia. These are all honourary positions undertaken on a volunteer basis.
