The aim of this investigation is to see if shorter Bite-Size bouts of exercise, throughout the day, can offer comparable benefits to those ascribed to a single longer duration bout. The exercise intensity will be the same in both the shorter bouts and the single longer duration bout.
Data from this study provides empirical support for the hypothesis that shorter bouts of exercise offer comparable benefits (particularly in terms of energy expenditure) to a single longer duration bout. Therefore, Bite-Size exercise sessions taken throughout the day can be promoted with more confidence.
