Rob is a consultant recreation and tourism planner working for territorial authorities, community groups and development agencies, and has been in this field for more than 20 years. Our research focus is generally project-specific and is often targeted towards assessments of environmental effect for large-scale infrastructure projects including, for example, hydro and irrigation schemes. We have completed many visitor surveys of rivers and other urban and remote recreation settings to advise resource consent and planning hearings, as well as for reserve planning and management. Rob is an inaugural member of the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Recreation Council and is an Accredited Recreation Professional with the NZ Recreation Association.
