Bio:

Michael played football professionally in England and trained in Cardiff to be a PE teacher. He taught in secondary schools and tertiary before movting to NZ IN 1999. He taught in Wellington HOF PE and Health and then at UCOL as lecturer in exercise and sport science. He has coached several sports but football is his main expertise. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals on dehydration and perception of exertion in interval training, and presented posters at conferences on elite football players and biomechanics of cycling. Currently researching optimal exercise intensity for cardiac rehabilitation populations.
He has a young family of 3 under 8s.
