Abstract

The authors examine stress among junior tennis players in New Zealand, assessing the levels of burnout, identifying the situational factors contributing to these levels of burnout and contextualising the role of parents within individual experiences. They interview two players with the lowest levels of burnout and two players with the highest levels, focusing on the influence of parents on each individual’s tennis experiences
