Abstract

Commercial partnerships and sponsorships in the sport, entertainment and art sectors are developing at a greater rate than ever before, both internationally and here in New Zealand.

This report provides industry insights about the objectives and activities of corporates who are active in the commercial partnerships and/or sponsorship space. Insights were gathered from corporates, current partnership or sponsorship projects and interviews specifically for this report.

Key learnings were drawn from these discussions and then common themes grouped into thirteen topics. Examples or case studies from around the world were then identified to provide examples of activities that could be employed in New Zealand, should they match local corporates’ objectives.
