Abstract

The latest gaming funding report has been released by Sport New Zealand. The report Gaming Funding into the Sport and Physical Activity/Recreation Sector 2012 (May 2014) looks at the contribution of four societies that distribute the majority of grants to the sport and recreation sector – the New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT), Southern Trust, Pub Charity, and the Lion Foundation.  Information is provided on where funding goes (by sport and region) and for what purpose.  The results for 2012 are also compared with those from 2010 and 2007.

The information in the report will help organisations understand the funding environment and make better and more targeted applications for grants that can demonstrate community outcomes
