Abstract
This In Fact factsheet is the first in a series that Sport New Zealand is producing to summarise key research we have funded.
This factsheet summarises recent research on outdoor recreation governance in New Zealand. Little is known about governance within New Zealand’s outdoor recreation sector. To fill this gap, Sport New Zealand funded a study on governance of non-profit, national outdoor recreation organisations. The study, by the University of Otago, Zink Research, and Elcho Consulting examined governance models, governance capability-building activities and sector-wide governance.
