Abstract

Increasingly sport and recreational organisations are reviewing how they operate in today’s economic climate.

Many organisations are now looking to collaborate, thinking about sharing resources and services in order to provide a better product while being financially accountable.

A good example is the Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club, which has been formed as a result of an amalgamation of the former Hutt and Boulcott Golf Courses.

Watch this 12 minute case study that investigates the amalgamation process with General Manager John Freer. John explains the process, challenges and results, and explains what went well with the merger and what he would have done differently.
