Gaming funding Research Series

Funding from gaming is an important source of income for the sport and recreation sector. Information is available for 2010 and 2007 to help the sector  understand this valuable income stream and the changes that are occurring in it.

These reports analyse gaming funding into the sport and recreation sector in 2007 and 2010 by the largest societies. In 2007 this included five societies, while in 2010 there were four, as the Lion and Perry Foundations merged in the first half of 2010.

In 2010, these four societies contributed around 80% of the gaming funding to the sport and recreation sector.

A third study is currently underway for the 2012 year, and will be reported on in early 2014.
