I am particularly interested in enhancing coaches’ effectiveness through the use of constraints when working with athletes. Increasing coaches’ self-awareness of their own coaching and how this impacts on athlete learning is also a keen area of interest for me.

I have been involved in sport and outdoor recreation as a teacher for over 30 years and am currently part of a professional development group within Lincoln HS. My specific areas of interest are sport climbing, orienteering and for many years until recently I have taught outdoor education as a senior school curriculum subject.
